Calling Artists and Art Lovers
If you are interested in supporting creativity in our public schools, government, and businesses, and in shaping the future of Winterville as a center for the arts, please join us by filling out the WAC Application Form or email WintervilleArtsCouncil@gmail.com
FLAG
Look behind Winterville City Hall and find the Free Little Art Gallery (or FLAG). The FLAG follows the same principle as free little libraries (where people take a book and leave a book). Feel free to take a little piece of art and consider donating one to the FLAG. Thanks go out to Ellen Derwin for introducing the FLAG to the Winterville Arts Council and purchasing the interior FLAG decorations and to Dave Watwood for building the FLAG. Follow the Winterville FLAG on Instagram (@freeandweewinterville). Enjoy!!!
Winterville Library Call For Art

Art Classes
Oil Painting
Wednesdays from 1:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Instructor: Dortha Jacobson
Description:
This class is for the adult who wants to try a new craft for the first time or to renew an interest now that there is more time in life for leisure activities. Each class will focus on a different aspect of oil painting, starting with creating a color wheel in order to understand color and ending with the completion of a landscape. Oil painting is a solitary activity but with a group of like-minded people. Classes will also include learning how to critique a painting and discussing what is effective in a painting and what can be improved.
